Peach Cobbler

Meal-Time Monday!

The other day our next door neighbors and I had a fun BBQ in the backyard.  We had yummy grilled chicken, salad, fruit, corn on the cob and bunch of other yummy munchies.  But I have to tell you, my favorite part had to be PEACH COBBLER!  It seriously was so good that every bite would just melt in my mouth.  My friend Holly made it and I can't remember where she got it from, so I am going to give her the credit.

And the best part about it?  SUPER QUICK AND EASY!  It calls for 3 ingredients!!  That's it!  So enjoy this amazing, yummy, summer-time desert!

PEACH COBBLER

2 cans of peaches (undrained)
1 box of yellow cake mix
1 cube butter

Directions:
Spray the bottom of the 8x8 cake pan with non-stick spray.  Put the cake mix into the cake pan then dump the peaches (undrained) on top and make sure they are evenly distributed.  Then cut into thin slices the cube of butter and layer that on top.  Stick in the oven at 350 degrees for 40 min.  And there you have it!  It doesn't get any easier than that!

Here the kids are patiently waiting for some of that AMAZING COBBLER!!

Mother's Day

FEATURE FRIDAY:
Featuring.... MOMS!

Last Sunday was Mother's Day.  It was a terrific day.  My dear husband Ryan surprised me and cleaned the house!  And we had an amazing dinner and the girls we so sweet and good.  As I have been a mom now for almost 4 years, each year that goes by makes me more and more grateful for my own mom and all that she does for me.  Thank you Mom!  I love you!

I found this poem that would like to share on this special day.

Being a mom is such a wonderful, hard, extraordinary calling we have in life.  So here is to all the Mothers out there.  Bless you for your sacrifice and hard work and unconditional love!

I Love You Enough

I Loved You Enough....
to ask where you were going,
with whom, and what time you would be home.

I Loved You Enough....
to insist that you save
your money and buy a bike for yourself
even though we could afford to buy one for you.

I Loved You Enough....
to be silent and let
you discover that your
new best friend was a creep.

I Loved You Enough....
to make you take a Milky Way
back to the drugstore (with a bite out of it)
and tell the clerk,
"I stole this yesterday and want to pay for it."

I Loved You Enough....
to stand over you for two hours
while you cleaned your room,
a job that would have taken 15 minutes.

I Loved You Enough....
to let you see anger, disappointment
and tears in my eyes.
Children must learn that their
parents aren't perfect.

I Loved You Enough....
to let you assume the
responsibility for your actions
even when the penalties
were so harsh they almost
broke my heart.

But most of all,
I Loved You Enough....
to say NO
when I knew you
would hate me for it.
Those were the most
difficult battles of all.
I'm glad I won them,
because in the end,
you won, too.

Graduation Day!

On May 4th, 2012 my hubby graduated with his Masters in Exercise Science!  We are so proud of all of his hard work.  Now he has received his Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree, what's next?  MORE SCHOOL!  Whoohoo!

He is now going to get his PHD.  We aren't sure where yet...either New Mexico or South Carolina.  Anyone have any preferences??  The graduation itself was nice, a bit long (4 hours), but nice :)  We got a lot of cute pictures and of course I made little graduation caps and gowns for the girls so they could match with their daddy.  Enjoy the pictures!

Everything in Between

Where to start.  I feel like it's a been about a month since I have last posted anything.  (It's been about 3 weeks which is so sad!)  I have missed you all dearly!  I hope you will excuse my absence but I did warn you right???   Between, Graduation, Birthdays, Gardner's Market, Mother's Day and everything in between I have not been able to keep up with everything.  So over the next few days I will be playing catch up.  My busy season is about over, which I am kinda excited about because now I can relax a bit and focus more on my family, my house and blog (which have all  been neglected), and just get grounded again.

So again, I really appreciate all of you and your comments and suggestions!  Thanks again for understanding, but now I am back and ready to get back to blogging.  So watch for new posts coming starting tomorrow morning!  Whoohoo!

Have a ton-of-fun Tuesday!  (Sorry, I know that was lame, but I couldn't resist!)
